"All I ask of you is forever to remember me as loving you."

The closing of Sacred Heart Acadermy was announced on January 20, 2006.
The academic year finished and, on June 17, 2006, more than 1,000
friends of SHA gathered to celebrate its 84 years of service,
and to resolve that the Academy will continue to live in the people whose lives it touched.

The property was sold to the City of Stamford on September 4, 2014
and an extension of the Rogers Magnet School was opened there
two years later.

One of the most valuable functions of every great Catholic high school is its on-going service
as the core of a lifetime community, composed of former students, teachers and administrators.

It's sad that SHA will not be the high school of future generations, but it has a continuing
role in the alumnae community.

Update, December 2016: While this site serves as a static memorial to SHA, especially as it existed in 2006,
a growing number of alumnae are actively participating in a Facebook page at:

https://www.facebook.com/groups/196966800508799/

.
